ABOUT US

Our center founded within Dokuz Eylül University conducting scientific and academic research on Yoruk-Turkmen Culture, promoting these researches, coordinating academic and popular works and activities, cooperating with non-governmental organizations and thus keeping Yoruk-Turkmen culture alive and the main purpose of transferring. Yoruk-Turkmen culture, especially cultural tourism, especially in various areas of the economy to gain, Yoruk-Turkmen Culture in the social life is another important goal is to raise awareness.

For these purposes, our main objectives are to conduct academic, scientific, cultural, social and economic studies, to prepare projects, to publish publications and to organize activities. In accordance with our regulation published in the Official Gazette on February 13rd 2017, the Board of Directors of the Center is composed of academicians from 9 September. In the advisory board of thirty, fifteen academicians and fifteen representatives of Yoruk-Turkmen Associations and NGOs are present. An office is located in the building of the Atatürk Institute and History of Turkish Revolution Institute at the Dokuz Eylül University Tınaztepe Campus.
